Fee Scale

and

Good Faith Estimate

for individual music therapy and psychotherapy, clinical evaluations, and care management services

My fee scale is part of my ongoing attempts to navigate our colonial capitalist system in a way that aligns with my anti-oppressive values around healing, relationship, and community. I am always learning and strive to balance needs in a way that honors everyone’s humanity.

Fees are set to compensate myself while maintaining a sound practice structured with operating costs and continuing education to provide folx the best services possible. I review our fees every year, and include a $5-10$ increase if that feels feasible. We can always discuss fees and how they feel, and make adjustments up or down as impactful and important situations arise.

In order to sustain my work in a capitalist-dominated society, I provide services through the anti-oppressive rate structure seen below. Please keep in mind solidarity & reparations slots are limited to 25% of my practice. If you can invest more in your healing please do so. Your decision to invest more is an act of solidarity.

Fee Scale

redistribution: $225–$250

full cost: $175-$225

sustain: $140-$175

solidarity: $100-$140

reparations: $50-$100

Sliding Scale Resources

If you are having difficulty determining which level best fits your circumstances, you may want to look at the following resources. These are meant to be guidelines, not rules. You are welcome to adjust the fee given to how you understand your situation. If you would like, we can discuss the details once you make your decision.

Right to Receive a Good Faith Estimate of Expected Charges

You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical care will cost

Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services.

  • You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services. This includes related costs like medical tests, prescription drugs, equipment, and hospital fees.

  • Make sure your health care provider gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least 1 business day before your medical service or item. You can also ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an item or service.

  • If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill.

  • Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.

For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises or call  (800) 368-1019.
